Koh Phangan is known for its Full Moon Party, but there is so much more to this beautiful island. Travel to Thailand, and you will be spoiled with sun-drenched islands brimming with exciting activities. While Koh Samui and Koh Tao are known for their nightlife, Koh Phangan, in my opinion, has it all. Amidst lush jungle and picturesque resorts, the island is dotted with beautiful beaches.
Although I spent most of my time in South East Asia backpacking, I also had the chance to experience luxury at The Villa.
Staying near this beach isn’t necessary whether you come for the Full Moon Party or not. Haad Rin, the Full Moon Party Beach, is located in the southeast of the island. From here, you can see Koh Samui and boats travel back and forth every day. There is reasonable accommodation around here, but the rest of the island is a little more accessible due to the sometimes ominous Haad Rin hills.
Located in the north of the island (where all boats from the mainland arrive), Thongsala is the island’s main town. The Villa perches on top of some raised ground five minutes away from this town. From here, you have a fantastic view of the pool.
My partner and I enjoyed a fantastic night at this luxurious Villa due to my partner’s dive school owner and a great friend. There are two master suites and two additional bedrooms in the Villa, so it is an understatement to say we were spoiled for choice!
The Villa is located in a quiet area, so you can truly unwind and relax away from the bustle of the parties. It almost seemed too good to be true with a fully functional kitchen, a vast swimming pool, a sauna, and a jacuzzi. We wish we could have stayed longer!
Thailand is a great place to visit because even the most luxurious accommodations are affordable. If you’re traveling to Thailand with a partner, a villa like this could be perfect. In addition to all the great beaches, night markets, and restaurants… you can also share the cost with friends and have your own party on the island! My closest couple of friends and I have already planned a dream vacation!
